NFL.com Draft Projection Rounds 3-4
Similarly to fellow small-school alum and current Viking offensive lineman
Dozier has started every game but three for the Paladins at tackle since 2010 but scouts agree that his skill set is best suited for play on the interior at the next level. Dozier is described as ‘Outstanding overall body mass and thickness, especially in the lower body. Strong power base with a very stout anchor. Locks down and dominates lesser competition in pass protection,’ according to his NFL.com scouting profile.
As with most FCS school competitors, Dozier could use some seasoning from NFL coaches. Dozier, described as ‘raw’, still needs some refinement but is believed to possess starter potential down the road.
The East-West Shrine game participant and FCS All-American has proven himself throughout the draft process to be a prospect with promise. A team with proven interior offensive line play could select Dozier and let him learn and adapt while providing depth. Dozier could come off the board as early as day-two.
