• Was a Golden Gloves boxer during his youth.

• Was released midseason in 2013 before being resigned and claiming the starting MLB spot. Cole had 18 tackles, the most among Vikings in 2013, in his 1st career start at GB (11/24).

OFF THE FIELD Cut his trademark long hair during 2013 offseason and donated to charity program benefitting youth fighting cancer- Children With Hair Loss- in Michigan...Took part in 2013 Minnesota Governor’s Fishing Opener weekend activities in Park Rapids, MN, helping youth get involved in outdoor activities and helping promote outdoors programs through Minnesota Department of Natural Resources...Graduated in 2011 with a parks, recreation and tourism degree…A Golden Gloves winner in boxing…Enjoys waterfowl and deer hunting along with walleye fishing…Avid movie buff.
