• Family hails from Western Samoa. Scott and his siblings are the 1st generation of his family born in the United States.  

• Was the 1st Oregon State player drafted by VIkings since WR Bob Grim in 1967. 

OFF THE FIELD Majored in human development and family sciences...Father, Lucky, and mother, Malama, are both natives of Western Samoa...Father lost his leg due to health issues but continues to work in a warehouse...The youngest of 4 children.

PRO Regular part of the Vikings defensive line rotation in his 2nd season in 2015...Played in 6 of the final 8 games of his rookie season in 2014 after being inactive for 6 of the opening 8 contests...1 of 3 of the Vikings opening 5 draft picks in 2014 coming from the Pac-12, joining LB Anthony Barr (UCLA, 1st round) and G David Yankey (Stanford, 5th round)...The 1st Oregon State player drafted by the Vikings since 1967 when WR Bob Grim was taken in the 2nd round...Was 1 of 2 OSU players drafted in 2014, joining Saints 1st-round WR Brandin Cooks...Declared early for NFL Draft...Selected in 3rd round (#72 overall).
